Akiane Kramarik’s Remarkable Painting of Jesus Resurfaces After 16 Years
At just 8 years old, Akiane Kramarik created Prince of Peace, a breathtaking portrayal of Jesus. This extraordinary painting, which was lost for 16 years due to theft, mistaken sales, and secrecy, has now resurfaced.

Now 28, Akiane is a best-selling author and philanthropist. She describes her artistic inspiration as divine, saying, “It comes from God. His voice is soft and lovely.”
Despite being raised in a non-religious home in Idaho, Akiane experienced an unexpected spiritual awakening that astonished her family. Her mother, Forelli Kramarik, recalled that they never attended church or spoke about God.

Driven by a vision of a carpenter, Akiane set out to paint Jesus. She prayed for guidance in finding a model, and soon after, a carpenter resembling her vision appeared at their door, confirming her inspiration.

After years of legal battles, Akiane finally reclaimed Prince of Peace and sold it to a private collector. Today, the painting is displayed at the Belóved Gallery in Marble Falls, Texas. Reflecting on its journey, Akiane shared, “It’s still surreal to me… Love is incredibly potent.”
