After more than two decades in Los Angeles, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne announced plans in August 2022 to return to the UK, but nearly two years later, they’re still stateside. On a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Ozzy, now 75, revealed that ongoing health struggles have kept them from making the move. Over the past five years, he’s had seven surgeries, including spinal surgery in September 2023, and continues to battle Parkinson’s disease.
Sharon, 71, explained that every time they’re ready to leave, something health-related sets them back. “Every time we’re set to go, something happens with Ozzy’s health,” she said.
Their decision to leave the U.S. isn’t just about health, it’s also about safety and politics. Ozzy voiced his frustration with the current state of the country: “I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. I don’t want to die in America.” Sharon echoed his concerns, saying, “America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it.”
Despite the delays, the Osbournes are still determined to make their return to the UK a reality.
