Justin Bieber has opened up to fans in a vulnerable series of Instagram posts, revealing that he’s been “asking God for help” as he navigates personal struggles and emotional turmoil.
Now 31, Bieber has spent most of his life in the spotlight. From a teenage YouTube sensation to global pop superstar, every high and low of his journey has played out publicly. Lately, however, fans have grown increasingly concerned over his well-being, citing his recent behavior as “erratic” and “worrying.”
The concern intensified after an incident in Palm Springs, where Bieber was seen yelling at paparazzi while grabbing coffee with friends ahead of the Coachella festival. “Get outta here, bro. Money, that’s all you want. You don’t care about human beings,” he shouted.
Shortly after, Bieber appeared on Instagram Live, shirtless and looking visibly exhausted while previewing new music. The posts came during ongoing legal proceedings involving his former mentor, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, adding further tension to the public discourse around him.
In a series of heartfelt Instagram messages to his 294 million followers, Bieber admitted to feeling deeply flawed and weighed down by past mistakes. He confessed to unintentionally hurting others and struggling with feelings of selfishness, shame, and fear of being exposed.
“I sometimes think I’m gonna get exposed if I tell people how selfish I am,” he wrote. “Like if I admitted that, maybe people wouldn’t like me or trust me.”
He continued: “I thought if I was honest about the selfish things I was feeling that I was gonna be disqualified from the dreams I had of being included. But the more honest I am about where I really am, the more freedom I actually have.”
In another post, Bieber shared how his emotional state fluctuates from day to day. “Some days I’m optimistic. Sometimes I wake up pessimistic,” he wrote. “I can’t control how I’m gonna feel… I would find myself even subconsciously blaming God for the bad feeling I woke up with, rather than communicating with Him and asking for a change in perspective.”
The singer also revealed that he’s been turning to prayer for strength and clarity, especially after being “used” by people in his life. “I’ve been really asking God to help me see the best in people,” he admitted.
Through his posts, Bieber is choosing to be raw and real with his audience, a stark contrast to the polished image he once maintained. While fans remain concerned, many are also rallying behind him with messages of support, recognizing the bravery it takes to share such deeply personal truths.
