On December 9, a tornado tore through a mobile home in Tennessee, ripping off the roof and lifting 4-month-old Lord into the storm while he was still in his bassinet. His parents, Sydney Moore and Aramis Youngblood, were inside with their two young sons. Aramis tried to catch the bassinet as it floated away, while Sydney shielded their one-year-old, Princeton, from flying debris.
After the storm passed, Sydney walked more than a mile to get help. Meanwhile, in the pouring rain, Aramis came out of the woods carrying Lord, alive.
“He landed gently in a little tree cradle,” Sydney said.
Lord suffered only a concussion and a minor ear injury. The family lost everything in the tornado.
A GoFundMe campaign started by Sydney’s sister has raised over $105,000 to help them rebuild.
“It’s a miracle,” Sydney said. “By the grace of God, he’s okay.”
