A couple claiming to be time travelers stranded in the year 2027 have taken TikTok by storm with unsettling videos that show them wandering through completely deserted cities.
Posting under the usernames @unicosobreviviente and @socmia, Javier and Maria say they are the last two people on Earth. Their footage, filmed in normally bustling places like Valencia, Spain, shows eerily empty streets, silent plazas, and abandoned landmarks, with no other humans in sight.
Maria, who claims to be a nuclear physicist, recently introduced herself in a video, stating, “Time is an illusion. I’m part of the same project as Javier, and I’m here to help change the current situation.” She added that she’s still processing the strange events that led her to this timeline.
Javier first appeared on TikTok in February 2021, posting a clip from what looked like an abandoned hospital. He claimed he woke up alone, with no memory of his identity, and soon discovered that although everything looked like 2021, electronic devices all displayed the year 2027.
Over time, Javier documented his travels to other major Spanish cities, including Madrid, Seville, and Barcelona, all appearing completely empty. His TikToks, which often include him hiding objects in public places and asking viewers in the present day to find them, have only deepened the mystery.
Despite the complete lack of people, electricity and internet access still seem to work, allowing the pair to upload their videos and communicate with followers.
Maria and Javier have never shown their faces, and how exactly they found each other in this abandoned future remains unexplained. Still, the eerie silence in their videos, the hauntingly empty locations, and their cryptic narration have captivated millions.
