Elon Musk has addressed the claims made by author Ashley St. Clair, who recently announced that she had given birth to their child.
On February 15, St. Clair shared a statement on social media, revealing that Musk is the father of her five-month-old child. In her post, she explained that she had kept the information private for the sake of her child’s safety and privacy, but felt compelled to speak out due to increasing media speculation.
The statement read, “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days, it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause. I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment, so I ask the media to honor our child’s privacy and refrain from invasive reporting.”
Musk responded to the unfolding drama by replying to a tweet that shared a screenshot of messages between Greg Price and St. Clair. In the tweet, Price had commented on May 20, “He’s got a kid with a woman already. Seems unlikely to work out.” Musk’s brief response to the tweet was simply, “Whoa.”
A now-deleted post from Ashley St. Clair also responded to the claims, saying, “Well, he actually has 7 kids and goes through women pretty fast.”
As of now, Musk has confirmed 12 children with three other women. If St. Clair’s claims are true, this would make their alleged child his 13th.
A user named Milo shared a screenshot of the exchange, writing, “Ashley St. Clair plotted for HALF A DECADE to ensnare Elon Musk.”
It’s unclear exactly what Musk’s “Whoa” was responding to.
Meanwhile, St. Clair’s representative, Brian Glicklich, the President and CEO of Digital Strategy Ltd, addressed the situation on Twitter. He confirmed that Musk and St. Clair had been privately working on an agreement regarding raising their child and expressed disappointment that a tabloid reporter allegedly “repeatedly ambushed” St. Clair and her family, making it impossible for them to complete the process privately.

The statement concluded: “We are awaiting Elon’s public acknowledgment of his parental role with Ashley, to put an end to any unwarranted speculation. Ashley trusts that Elon intends to finalize their agreement promptly, prioritizing the wellbeing and security of the child they share.”
