In a recent chat with British Vogue shared on Tuesday, May 13, the 28-year-old supermodel addressed the long-running rumors about cosmetic procedures, including the trendy “fox eye” surgery. While taking fans through her daily makeup routine on social media, Hadid laughed off the speculation.
“People always think I’ve had a facelift or that cat-eye thing, whatever it’s called,” she said. Instead of surgical tweaks, Bella revealed her secret weapon: a good updo.
Running low on hair products, she hilariously reached for her Orebella perfume, yes, perfume, to slick back her brunette locks. “That was like 60 seconds of a snatcheroo,” she joked, proving that her lifted look is more about technique than treatments.
While Bella has openly admitted to getting a nose job at just 14, she’s kept the rest natural. In her tutorial, she emphasized how her go-to glam is actually quite simple. But when she’s in full supermodel mode, a different side of her emerges, one she calls “Belinda.”
“Belinda slays for me during the day,” Hadid explained. “But when I get home, I’m Bella again.”
In her more in-depth British Vogue interview, Bella described Belinda as her emotional armor, a persona she leaned on heavily during tough times. “She can be crying from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., but by the time she gets to work, there’s a smile on her face. That’s Belinda.”
Reflecting on her career, Bella confessed that many of her glamorous moments were actually marked by emotional struggles. “I can look at a cover or a campaign and remember exactly how I felt that day, which shoot I cried at, or which one I was in pain during,” she shared.
Recalling one particular job, she revealed, “I apologized to a woman weeks later for a shoot we did in Puglia. She told me, ‘What are you talking about? It was amazing.’ But I had been crying behind the scenes after every take. I just wore the mask well.”
While Bella is grateful for where she is now, she admitted that she sometimes wonders what it would’ve been like if she hadn’t gotten a nose job so young. “I wish I had grown into my ancestral nose,” she said thoughtfully.
