Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are officially engaged after a year of dating, and the singer couldn’t be happier.
“Yeah, we’re engaged,” Lipa, 29, confirmed in her July cover interview with British Vogue, published June 12. “It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just… be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
Turner, 35, proposed with a custom-designed ring, made after speaking with Lipa’s sister and close friends. “I’m obsessed with it,” she said. “It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person you’re going to spend your life with really gets you.”
As for wedding plans, the couple is taking their time. “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s filming, so we’re just enjoying this period,” Lipa shared. “I’ve never really thought about weddings or what kind of bride I’d be. But now I’m like, ‘Wait… what would I wear?’”
The engagement news comes after the couple spent their first Christmas together, with Lipa sharing a cozy photo of them in a car during the holidays. Fans were quick to notice the sparkling ring on her left hand.
Lipa and Turner were first linked in January after being seen together at the premiere party for Turner’s show Masters of the Air. They’ve been nearly inseparable ever since. “Callum is really the first serious relationship she’s had in years,” a source told Us Weekly in March.
In April, Lipa hinted that she may have manifested the relationship. While writing her single “Training Season,” she focused on what she wanted in love. “The power of words is real,” she told Elle. “When you know your worth, you know what you want and what you don’t.”
The couple made things Instagram official last summer during the 2024 Glastonbury Festival, where Lipa posted a series of photos including a sweet PDA moment with Turner. She captioned the carousel, “Dancing until you see the sunrise at stone circle is the Glasto ritual.”
From music festivals to planning a future together, it seems love really is in full bloom for Dua and Callum.
