Grieving Father Speaks Out After Mother Fatally Shoots Daughter and Three Sisters

A heartbroken father has spoken out after the tragic loss of his 7-year-old daughter, Olivia Blackmer, following a devastating family tragedy deemed a murder-suicide by authorities.

The incident occurred at the family’s home in Wyoming, where Olivia’s mother fatally shot her and her three sisters, Brailey, 9, Brooke, nearly 3, and Jordan, 2. While Olivia initially survived the attack and underwent brain surgery, she passed away after five days in the hospital.

In a heartfelt message on a crowdfunding page, Olivia’s family shared, “She fought so, so hard up until the very last minute.”

“Olivia is with her sisters now,” the family shared in a heartfelt message.

“Her body and brain had endured too much. Though medication provided some relief, we eventually reached a point where all medical options were exhausted, and her condition only continued to decline.”

The tragic events unfolded when the girls’ mother, Tranyelle Harshman, 32, called the police to report the devastating incident at their family home, according to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office.

In an official statement, authorities revealed that Harshman disclosed what had happened to her daughters and indicated she intended to harm herself as well, providing details about where each child could be found inside the home.

When officers arrived at the scene, Harshman was still responsive but succumbed to her injuries the following day, February 11, at a nearby hospital.

According to her husband, Cliff, Tranyelle Harshman was not “a monster” but struggled with serious mental health issues, including PTSD and postpartum depression, conditions for which she was actively receiving treatment.

Olivia and Brailey’s father, Quinn Blackmer, shared his profound heartbreak over the tragic loss of his two daughters.

“The amount of devastation we feel and are going through is unimaginable,” he wrote, adding that he finds some peace in knowing, “my babies don’t have to be apart from each other and can be with their other sisters.”

He also expressed deep gratitude to those who contributed to the family’s GoFundMe page, saying, “From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank every single person who has donated, prayed, and fasted for us and our beautiful Olivia.”

“Your kindness and generosity have meant so much to us. We just ask that you continue to pray and keep us in your thoughts.”

Our deepest condolences go out to the grieving families during this heartbreaking time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
