Initially, they used “Sussex Royals” for their Instagram and website, but following the birth of their son Archie, they transitioned to the name “Archewell” for their website and production company.
After King Charles’ coronation, the couple made the decision to officially adopt the surname Sussex for their children, Archie and Lili, despite their previous use of Mountbatten-Windsor. This change came after both children were granted royal titles as Prince and Princess, following the passing of Queen Elizabeth.
Recently, Meghan corrected Mindy Kaling for referring to her as Meghan Markle, stating, “I’m Sussex now,” explaining how meaningful it was for her to share a family name with her children. The name change has sparked criticism, with some accusing the couple of seeking attention while distancing themselves from the royal family.
