Influencer Promotes Body Positivity by Sharing ‘Untouched’ Photos of Herself

An influencer shares both ‘perfect’ and ‘unedited’ photos to promote body positivity. Her goal is to normalize and celebrate all body types.

Georgie Clarke, a UK blogger, overcame self-criticism and mental health struggles. She now works to normalize all body types and promote self-acceptance.

Through therapy and self-love, she broke free from the destructive cycle that had haunted her for years. Her journey led to greater self-acceptance and healing.

Normalizing Normal Bodies

Clarke, having embraced self-acceptance, launched an Instagram series to remind her 690K followers to question what they see online. She encourages authenticity over social media illusions.

Her posts showcase side-by-side photos of the same outfits and makeup, taken just minutes apart with different approaches. The contrast highlights the impact of angles and editing.

Despite lighting and angles, Clarke remains committed to showing the unedited truth. She prioritizes authenticity over perfection in her posts.

In her latest post, the blogger compared a modeling pose (left) with a relaxed state (right). The side-by-side images highlight the difference between posed and natural looks.

She explained, “The left image needed perfect lighting, a flattering angle, a tense bum, tiptoeing, a tightened stomach, and holding my breath. The right image needed nothing—just relaxing and smiling. Both are for my Instagram because they represent my true self.”

The blogger’s series challenges the notion of perfection, showing that those we compare ourselves to on social media aren’t flawless. It helps reveal the truth behind curated images.

She shared, “I’m proud to say I’m the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been, and my relationship with my body is as important as with my mind.”

Clarke added, “When my mental health struggles now, I have the tools to take care of myself. It’s taken time to learn these tools, but with self-compassion, I can recognize the importance of self-care and asking for help.”

Her series has been well received by her followers, as shown by the positive response.
