A spokesperson for Kanye West and Bianca Censori has addressed recent rumors claiming Censori had “had enough” and ended her marriage with the rapper.
West, who now formally goes by Ye, is currently facing a lawsuit from a former employee over alleged antisemitism and misogyny, has been dropped by his talent agency, sold swastika-emblazoned T-shirts, and has now deactivated his Twitter account.
Amid these controversies, speculation arose regarding the status of his marriage to Censori.
According to a report from Mail Online, a source close to Ye allegedly confirmed that the couple had split and were preparing to file for divorce, with Censori expected to receive a $5 million settlement.
Another insider told Page Six:
“[Censori’s] had enough. The swastika shirt [he was selling] was the last straw. She told him that’s not who she is, and that she can’t be associated with that. He’s saying that he has dominion over her, and then he’s selling those shirts. It reflects on her, and she doesn’t want any part of that circus.”
The source further claimed that Censori told Ye she was “completely done.”
In response to these reports, Milo Yiannopoulos, a representative for Ye and Censori, denied the claims, telling The Independent:
“Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumor in the tabloid press.”
He added:
“Is this the fifth or is it the sixth time the press has wrongly reported that Ye and Bianca are separating? I’ve lost track.”
If anything does happen between Ye and Bianca Censori, Ye won’t be able to update fans on Twitter, as his account is now deactivated.
After posting multiple antisemitic remarks, including praising Hitler, Ye even thanked Elon Musk for seemingly allowing him to “vent.”
“It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip,” Ye wrote.
Following Ye’s comments, Friends star David Schwimmer, who is Jewish, called out Elon Musk on Instagram, writing:
“This is so 2022. We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate-filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk.”
Schwimmer continued his criticism, highlighting the dangers of allowing Ye’s antisemitic rhetoric to spread unchecked:
“Kanye West has 32.7 million followers on your platform, X. That’s twice as many people as the number of Jews in existence. His sick hate speech results in REAL LIFE violence against Jews.”
He went on:
“I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that he identifies as a Nazi (which implies he wants to exterminate ALL marginalized communities, including his own) or the fact that there is not sufficient OUTRAGE to remove and ban him from all social media at this point.”
“Silence is complicity.”
In response, Elon Musk later stated that Ye’s account had been reclassified as “NSFW” (Not Safe For Work) and assured users:
“You should not be seeing that anymore.”
