The so-called “living Baba Vanga” has sparked concern with a bold prediction: a catastrophic event in July 2025 that could affect millions worldwide.
Whether you believe in prophecies or not, the fascination with predicting the future endures. Seers like Nostradamus and Baba Vanga have captivated generations with their eerie foresight, often linked to major global events, from the rise of Hitler and the Great Fire of London to the 9/11 attacks and more recent political turmoil.
Though Baba Vanga passed in 1996, her influence lingers, and so do her predictions. Her forecasts for 2025 range from shocking to surreal, including a new war in Europe, alien encounters, and even Lewis Hamilton winning his eighth Formula 1 title with Ferrari.
But now, a new name has emerged in the world of prophecy: Ryo Tatsuki, a Japanese manga artist often referred to as the “Japanese Baba Vanga.”
Tatsuki has been documenting her vivid dreams since the 1980s, many of which she published in her 1999 manga The Future I Saw. One vision, dated “March 2011 Great Disaster Comes,” eerily preceded the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan on March 11, 2011, an event that killed nearly 20,000 people.
Now, Tatsuki is sounding the alarm again. She claims a disastrous event will strike in July 2025, describing it as even more devastating than the 2011 tsunami.
According to her dream, the ocean will “boil,” and the affected area will have a diamond-shaped impact zone encompassing regions near Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and the Northern Mariana Islands. She also envisioned dragon-like shapes approaching this area, imagery that some interpret as symbolic of seismic waves or underwater tectonic movements.
Tatsuki says the scope of destruction could be “three times worse” than the 2011 disaster.
While there is no scientific evidence to support Tatsuki’s claims, experts do acknowledge that the regions she references are part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, a known hotbed for seismic and volcanic activity. Areas like Japan’s Nankai Trough are especially vulnerable to powerful underwater earthquakes capable of generating tsunamis.
Online reactions have been divided. Some users on X (formerly Twitter) expressed concern, saying, “Predictions aren’t certainties. But if there’s even a 1% chance of truth, better to prepare than panic.” Others were more skeptical, comparing Tatsuki’s visions to something out of a supernatural manga, calling it a real-life “Death Note.”
Whether this prediction turns out to be a chilling warning or just another internet curiosity, one thing is clear, people are watching the calendar, and July 2025 can’t come soon enough.
