Robert Irwin’s Underwear Photoshoot Is Getting Everyone Talking

A bold new photoshoot featuring Robert Irwin has taken the internet by storm, with reactions all saying the same thing.

Known to many as the son of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, Robert usually appears in his signature Australia Zoo khaki outfit. But these recent photos have shattered that image.

The striking new shots are part of a campaign for Bonds, the iconic Australian underwear brand now launching in the U.S.

In the ads, Robert poses confidently in various styles and colors of Bonds underwear, showing a side few have seen before.

What really caught people’s attention were certain photos that cleverly nod to his family’s deep roots in wildlife conservation.

In an interview with People, the 21-year-old shared his excitement about the campaign.

“It was a pretty immediate yes,” Robert said. “I wish I could say I was all cool and suave about it, but honestly, I was like, ‘Yes! Let’s do it!’ Bonds is such a legendary brand in Australia.”

He added, “I’m at a point in my life where I want to try different, exciting things. If it’s something that makes me a little nervous and gives me an adrenaline rush, that’s exactly what I want to do.”

The shoot, set “Down Under,” didn’t just feature Robert half-naked, it also included some wild guest stars, like snakes and lizards.

Talking about working with these creatures, Robert said, “I’ve spent my life handling crocs, snakes, and rescuing animals. So having a bit of that wildlife excitement in this shoot was a blast. Except this time, I was in my undies, that was the only difference.”

He also admitted that stripping down for the shoot was way scarier than wrangling a crocodile.

Given his active lifestyle, Robert explained that staying fit is a must. “I’m out in the Aussie bush every day saving crocs, and it’s tough work. So you’ve got to keep good stamina and upper body strength.”

The campaign has his family’s full support. Robert hopes it’ll raise more awareness about animal conservation.

He emphasized, “We’re all trying to carry on my dad’s important legacy. I’m finding my own way to do that, sometimes that means modeling for Bonds! It’s unexpected, sure, but I get to be with Aussie wildlife and reach new audiences with my conservation message. That means everything to me and my family.”

The Irwins are clearly keeping the conservation mission alive.

The daring Bonds campaign instantly went viral, sparking mixed reactions. Some fans love it, while others are still processing the unexpected side of Robert.

One fan wrote, “I watched this guy grow up! Robert Irwin thirst traps definitely weren’t on my 2025 bingo card.”

Another said, “Not sure whether to look away… I remember when he was a kid, now he’s a full-grown man!”

“Whoever dreamed up this campaign deserves a raise… Great job!” a third fan praised.

A fourth joked, “I remember when he was born. Should I be retired already? These feelings are wild!”

Fans also spotted a funny detail in one photo. At first glance, it looked like Robert had a spider tattoo on his shoulder, but on closer look, it was actually a giant real spider crawling on him.

One shocked social media user exclaimed, “Not me thinking that spider was a tattoo, but it’s actually real!”
