According to The Times, this shift started around the time of King Charles III’s coronation. The couple recently launched a new website, Sussex.com, meant to unify their public work and family identity under one umbrella.
An insider explained, “It represents their unification, and it’s a proud moment.”
The change is also symbolic of their ongoing desire to distance themselves from the formalities of royal life. After stepping down as senior royals in 2020, Harry and Meghan moved to California, where they now live with their two children in Montecito.
