Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and moving to California, Meghan has become much more active online. With her new lifestyle brand As Ever launching and a Netflix project underway, she’s been sharing more glimpses into her life, including sweet moments with Harry and their two kids.
To mark their anniversary, Meghan posted a heartfelt Instagram collage of special moments from their relationship, writing, “Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories. Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you.” She finished with a warm “Happy anniversary” and a red heart emoji.
But it wasn’t this loving tribute that caught fans’ eyes, it was a post from the day before that stirred up chatter online.
On May 18, Meghan shared a peaceful clip of herself arranging a bouquet of soft pink flowers, captioned “Happy Sunday, friends.” The video seemed innocent enough until fans noticed the background music.
The track playing was LL Cool J’s 1995 hit “Doin’ It,” famous for its very explicit lyrics.
Though Meghan’s clip only included the lines: “Doin’ it and doin’ it and doin’ it well / I represent Queens, she was raised out in Brooklyn,” fans immediately caught the suggestive tone.
Many took the song choice as a cheeky nod to Meghan and Harry’s romantic life. One fan joked it confirmed they were “having the nastiest s**,” while others simply reacted with wide-eyed emojis and comments like, “Happy anniversary indeed.”
