Authorities Respond After Woman Has Her Heart Removed in Shocking Incident

British mother of two, Beth Martin, tragically passed away while on vacation in Turkey, and now her family is demanding answers after a shocking discovery.

Beth, 28, fell seriously ill with what was initially believed to be food poisoning during a trip to Istanbul. She was admitted to Marmara University Hospital after becoming delirious, but her condition worsened. Just days later, on April 29, she died in the hospital, leaving her husband Luke to break the devastating news to their two young children.

What should have been a heartbreaking but straightforward tragedy took a disturbing turn when Martin’s body was returned to the UK. During a follow-up examination, her family was allegedly horrified to discover her heart was missing. They say they were never informed or asked for consent to have any organs removed, and now they’re searching for the truth about what happened during Beth’s final days.

To add to their distress, Turkish authorities initially suspected Luke of poisoning his wife, detaining him before eventually releasing him. He recalled being barred from seeing Beth in the hospital as her condition worsened and said she was suddenly transferred to another facility without notice, a move the hospital claimed was due to concerns about her heart.

Beth’s family has since launched a GoFundMe to cover legal costs and repatriation expenses. At the time of writing, it has raised over £250,000 (approximately $338,000). Close family friend Ellie spoke to The Sun, recounting the hospital’s strange behavior: “All they kept asking was if we were planning to sue and trying to get us to sign forms. It felt like they knew something they weren’t telling us.”

She also shared that attempts to move Beth to a private hospital were blocked, with the public hospital delaying critical medical reports. In a final insult, Beth’s family says they were forced to carry her through the hospital in a body bag themselves.

An autopsy in the UK reportedly revealed that her heart was missing, making it impossible to determine a cause of death. However, Turkish officials have now issued a statement claiming Martin died of cardiac arrest caused by multiple organ failure. They stated she was registered as a forensic case due to a possible poisoning, as reported by her husband.

Officials further claimed that no surgeries were performed during her hospital stay and that the initial autopsy was non-invasive. They did not clarify if the second autopsy at the Forensic Medicine Institute involved any surgical procedures.

Despite the official explanation, Beth Martin’s family remains deeply suspicious. Until they get the full truth, their search for justice continues.
